This invitation to tender invites proposals to undertake the development and production of:

• a framework for the analysis and review of information systems; and
• a self assessment toolkit relevant to the operations and processes of higher education institutions.

These activities will have a focus upon higher education institutions; however, further education institutions are not excluded from bidding or partnering with bidders.  It is anticipated that the outputs from this project will be discussed with a view to commissioning similar tools to specifically support further education.  If approved, these would form part of a new and open tendering process.

Funding of up to £50,000 is available for this project, inclusive of all expenses and any applicable VAT. The activities are expected to start soon after Monday 14 March 2005, with a final report submitted to JISC on Wednesday 31 August 2005.
