Software quality evaluator
JISC is seeking to evaluate the quality of the software outputs from projects within the eLearning programme.
Up to £80,000 (including VAT) is available to contract a group to define and undertake an evaluation of software quality. Tenders should be submitted no later than 12:00, noon on Friday 12 November 2004.
Background
This call is driven by the requirement to evaluate the quality of software outputs from current JISC development projects and improve the quality of software outputs in further projects.
JISC is currently funding a range of software development under the e-Learning programme:
The Distributed e-Learning programme has 22 eLearning tool projects developing open source software. These are due to complete development by 31 March 2005. Emphasis has been placed on the quality of the software outputs, as this will help determine possible additional funding for a further iteration of development, dissemination or embedding.
The Frameworks and Tools programme has 8 tool kit projects (project descriptions can be found under heading Technical Development Projects). These are due to complete by November 2004.
