JISC invites proposals for a study to assess the current provision of digitised collections for UK-based researchers in the HE area across all subject disciplines. Funding of up to £30,000 including VAT is available for this study.

The Tender

The Consortium of University Research Libraries (CURL) and JISC are issuing the following invitation to tender for a study to assess the current provision of digitised collections for UK-based researchers in the HE area across all subject disciplines, and to make recommendations for ways in which CURL and JISC are well placed to take a lead. The aim of the study is not to look at born-digital material. The study should review what has already been digitised, to what standard(s), what is planned to be digitised, where the gaps are, what the priorities ought to be for filling those gaps and what barriers there are to undertake digitisation.
