Circular 3/04: Projects to develop e-Learning tools for learners & teachers
This circular invites higher education institutions in England to submit funding proposals to develop e-learning tools for learners and teachers over an 8 month period from August 2004 to March 2005. Projects should commence as soon as possible and no later than 1 September 2004.
Funding of up to £150,000 per project is available but where projects demonstrate that their proposal will bring exceptional value to a wide range of users grants in excess of this figure may be awarded. It is hoped that 10 -15 projects will be funded.
Shorter projects offering early payback in the form of deliverables which can be tested in service are also welcome and will be favourably considered.
A town meeting will be held in London on Thursday 17 June 2004 to provide a forum for discussion of the call and its subject matter. Attendance is free and on a first come, first served basis, and will be restricted to two representatives per institution.
