This ITT invites proposals for the following two areas of work:

A: To build a demonstrator or demonstrators to highlight and showcase the functionality that portals developed within the JISC Information Environment can offer, so as to assess end-user reaction to this functionality, gather end-user requirements, and gauge the best means by which it may be delivered. Up to £150,000 is available for this work over 18 months.

B: To explore the sustainability of portal developments currently taking place within the JISC Information Environment.  The work should make recommendations on the viability of portal solutions and how they should move into service.  Technical, organizational and financial aspects should be considered.  Business models for the long-term development of portals generally are also sought. £40,000 - £60,000 is available for this work over 5 months.
