Future of Jisc funding
Jisc is evolving. You'll see us work with you differently over the 2012/2013 academic year including how we plan and carry out our innovation work.
With our new organisational status – Jisc is now an independent charity – we will be exploring different ways that we can work with you, our customers and community. This will include developing and testing out some new approaches, as well as working through some of those that are more familiar. Our aim is to work in a more agile and responsive way but also ensuring that we are keeping many opportunities open to all, wherever possible. We are setting ourselves challenging goals here – but we think that this is the right way to go, to create best value for our customers and community.
One way in which we are developing and testing new processes is that over the coming months we'll be running a pilot co-design programme, starting in January 2013 and ending in January 2014, in partnership with some of our key stakeholder associations, UCISA, SCONUL, RLUK and RUGIT to define both what we should create and how we could create it. We will be developing and testing out new processes for innovation - working through a clear lifecycle process to make it clear how an idea moves from concept to product and service.
Part of the change process also means that we are changing the way that we are working with some of our current projects including the funding of the Innovation Support Centres.
