With new funding arrangements in place, and a more critical and discerning student community, higher education institutions and their leaders are facing increased pressure to demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness across the board. Since publication of the UUK report on Efficiency and effectiveness in higher education in September 2011, we have been working with higher education professionals to develop infrastructure to support this.

Featuring an exclusive progress report from Professor Ian Diamond on the implementation of the UUK report’s recommendations, this conference presents an opportunity to take stock of the latest developments in efficiency – including teaching, research and operational areas.Introduction to the event. Summary box/indent function not necessary.

  • learn about the progress that has been made in implementing the Diamond and Wakeham reviews on efficiency
  • engage with experts from the higher education sector and beyond through interactive workshops and Q&A sessions
