About

David Kernohan takes a provocative look at the world of Massively Open Online Courses (MOOCs) - the hype, the promises and the reality of being one of a cohort of a hundred thousand.

The majority of the session focusses on discussing and highlighting the responses of institutions and policy-makers to this encroaching agenda.

We will cover the various species of MOOC and open class, the benefits and the drawbacks, and offer a guide on "how to speak to a senior manager who has just heard about MOOCs".

The "Open Educational Landscape" series of webinars offers a chance for staff in Wales to come together, explore current issues surrounding online learning and discuss ideas and questions with colleagues who have experience to share.
