About

This event will focus on the current state-of-the-art delivery of rich media and changing social networking opportunities opening up in the mobile technology domain. It will also look at activities around delivering information services to students on their mobiles, widening access to platforms such as the VLE and up and coming mobile technologies such as tablet PCs.

With the modern student looking to be able to learn wherever and whenever they want, the rapidly evolving area of mobile technology now sees such improvements in devices, network capabilities and affordability to make these opportunities a reality.

This event will look at what is being done with mobile devices to support teaching and learning and discuss the further potential. From student activity in the field, to the opportunity of widening access to institutional services and on to a future technological landscape populated by tablets and augmented reality.

  • Mobilising remote student engagement: lessons learned from the field
