About

Managing the deployment of BYOD can be complicated. This event, in collaboration with Janet, will provide advice on how to implement a strategy that is both effective and secure.

Find out more about BYOD

Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD) involves users bringing their own laptops, tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices into your organisation and expecting to be able to connect to your network to access emails, personal network space, shared resources and to surf the internet.

BYOD may also involve the setting up and management of your own organisation’s devices with mobile apps to deploy in classrooms and administration areas.

What you will get out of this event

This event will look at:

  • the different devices that the major manufacturers offer and the software and apps used to manage those devices;
  • the factors to be considered on how to set up and securely manage the network connection;
  • the security and legal issues associated with incorporating a BYOD culture in your organisation

Delegates will also have opportunities to explore the different devices and apps, identify the different network software/hardware products available, and discuss the strategies and best practice used in other Learning Providers who have already embraced BYOD.
