About

Assessment and feedback lies at the heart of the learning experience. It is an area where levels of both student and staff dissatisfaction with current experiences are high, however change is notoriously difficult to achieve. This webinar looks at the experiences of a number of universities who have brought about significant change in practice.

Aims of the session:

  • to discuss a range of strategies for strategic change in an academic context
  • to discuss how educational principles can act as a basis for discourse on change
  • to share lessons learned in relation to engaging stakeholders, overcoming resistance and embedding change
  • to introduce a set of transferable techniques

Learning outcomes

Drawing on experiences from the Jisc Assessment and Feedback Programme, delegates will:

  • learn how theoretical models of change apply to the higher education context
  • share lessons learned
  • learn about transferable techniques that have proven successful in institutions

Who should attend

Professionals interested in issues related to:

  • assessment and feedback practice
  • assessment and feedback strategy and policy
  • change management
  • engaging staff and students in strategic change
