Webinar title
Using Augmented Reality to improve teaching and learning
Abstract

With a shortage of good quality learning materials available for plumbing students, Kendal College has developed new materials using Augmented Reality (AR) technology.

Find out more about how this was achieved, the difference it has made to their students and how the College is developing these materials for other subjects.

This project has been funded by the Jisc Advance Further Education and Skills (FES) Development and Resources Programme.

Presenters
  • Carole Drury, College Director, Kendal College
  • Dan Hodge, Lecturer in Digital Media, Kendal College

  • Establish a protocol for the development of the skills “segments” that will form part of the Augmented Reality sequences
  • Use tablets to refine and implement technology for learners by a specially selected pilot group and then integrated into other student communities
  • Engage your College students to develop and pilot ‘raw materials’
  • Produce and implement an impact survey of the pilot materials to inform further development of the technology
