How to implement online services based on the ERA Plus Licence

The BUFVC (British Universities Film & Video Council) is organising an event, in collaboration with The Educational Recording Agency (ERA), regarding the ERA Plus Licence and how to use it. 

• Are you an existing or potential ERA Plus Licence holder?
• Want to understand the benefits and requirements of the ERA Plus Licence?
• Developing your own online video system for television and radio delivery?
• Interested in making television and radio recordings available off-campus?
• Want to understand the importance of GeoIP and authentication?

This free one-day event will take an in-depth, pragmatic look at the ERA Plus Licence and how to use it within education establishments, including:

• the benefits and requirements of the licence
• security, authentication and geographical identification issues
• technical solutions
• practical case studies from current users

Attendees will gain the opportunity to discuss their questions with representatives from The Educational Recording Agency (ERA) and the providers of television catch-up services from the broadcasting industry, as well as useful tips from other licensee holders.

There will be a number of short presentations from speakers including, Andrew Yeates, General Counsel at ERA, Richard Cooper, Head of Digital Distribution at the BBC and Luis Carrasqueiro, Deputy Chief Executive at the British Universities Film & Video Council, amongst others.

Attendance is free of charge, but places are limited and booking is essential.
