The Scottish universities are world leaders in a number of research domains and also in both informatics research and the provision of IT- based research support. The success of the Scottish research pooling intiatives have shown the value of developing research collaborations in many fields. It is becoming clear across all research domains that funding bodies are expecting more collaborative working and greater use of IT, with the expectation that this will increase the efficiency of researchers. This meeting in the JISC roadshow series is aimed at bringing together researchers with an interest in taking advantage of these trends and the groups who can support and collaborate with them.

Parting the clouds: Using advanced resources for research

A JISC roadsow for research

The Scottish universities are world leaders in a number of research domains and also in both informatics research and the provision of IT- based research support. The success of the Scottish research pooling intiatives have shown the value of developing research collaborations in many fields.
