Graham Higley: Natural History Museum, Head of Library and Information Services
Graham Higley is the Head of Library and Information Services at The Natural History Museum in London. Graham is responsible for managing the strategic development of the library, archive and IT systems for The Natural History Museum. Integrating all IT - corporate and collections systems, hardware, software and applications - into a central resource which will be centrally managed and controlled. During his time at The Natural History Museum Graham has led the development of a central database system to hold all collections records and taxonomy (70M items in collection) and make available through the Web. Graham also takes the lead a number of international and EU projects on behalf of the Museum, including SYNTHESYS, BHL, and EOL.
Graham has also held roles with a diverse range of organisations including BBC Information and Archives, The Carbon Trust/Quantum Partnership, Investors in People UK and British Telecom.
