Session abstract

Efficient identity management streamlines access to different resources and administrative systems, potentially saving universities and colleges time and money. This session will launch JISC’s new Identity Management Toolkit and show how it can help institutions with the practical task of managing identity.

By answering questions submitted by the audience, a panel drawn from the team producing the toolkit, will suggest how tools within it can be used to support practical projects by institutions that are determined to tackle their own identity management at all levels, from the formation of sound policy to the selection and implementation of technical solutions.

The session will draw on the experiences of Bristol University and Kidderminster College which ‘trialled’ the toolkit.
