Session abstract

In a time of budgetary challenges, how can you maximise the creative value of your staff? The Rapid Innovation programme, a short programme which has championed swift, highly technical projects and has deliberately highlighted the role of developers, aims to provide an answer to this question.

This session will show just what a difference software developers have made, in terms of elevating institutional profile and improving engagement with business, when allowed to take a leading role. The session will showcase some of the work of these projects, demonstrate the potential benefits of unleashing the potential of software developers, and explain how to delegates can support work such as this in their own institution.
