Information Literacy is at the crossroads of the literacies required by 21st century citizens. Educators need to recognise that critical evaluation and ethical use of material is central to this.Librarians need to forge partnerships with drivers of other literacies to publicise its importance. Becoming an information literate citizen is a lifelong process, involving the development of proper habits from school through to higher education and beyond. This is not just a librarian thing. We must work with academic and other facilitators embedding our interventions according to the subject discipline, helping students create first-class content.
