Abstract: Repositories in a legal context
The Legal and Policy strand will examine not only the
legal issues that have arisen from the repository programme but also other
recent JISC-funded developments of relevance to repository managers
concerned about legal issues, including the JISC-SURF work on licences and
advocacy, the impact of Creative Commons, ownership of Intellectual
Property Rights in student-created work, Digital Rights Managment issues
and licence registries. There will also be discussion of likely future
developments emanating from JISC.
