Not all institutions possess the required expertise, skills or resources to carry out full digital preservation activities themselves. Some of these will be fulfilled by external service provides and some may be shared between repositories. The SherpaDP and Preserv projects explored different models for the provision of digital preservation services for institutional repositories. Outcomes of both projects will be presented in this session.
