Abstract: Discovery and use
The discovery and use of material in repositories is of
course the other part of the process of repository use. Apart
from generic search services such as Google and Yahoo simply finding
material within repositories, the data structure of repositories allows
innovative services to be built on top of them. This
session will hear from the Intute Repository Search project which is
looking into the development of UK-based innovative
services. As a subject-based example of the use that can
be made of repositories, we will also hear from Peter Murray-Rust and his
innovative work in using data and publications in a new way.
