Abstract: Publishing research data
In some disciplines, datasets are potentially as
important as peer-reviewed publications in terms of research
outputs. As the importance of datasets grows, work is needed
to ensure that linking mechanisms between data and publication, and
reliable data citation practices can be established. Two
JISC projects (CLADDIER and StORe) have taken forward work in this area,
and more work is ongoing. This session will explore the
scope and limits of this work, and the principles upon which it can be
based.
