Tom Loosemore
Project Director, BBC2.0
Tom has been at the forefront of much of the BBC's new
media strategy since joining in 2001 as Head of Broadband & Emerging
Platforms. Over the past 3 years he played a key role in developing a wide
range of new media proposals, many of which featured in 'Building
Public Value', the BBC's vision for the next ten years. He is
currently leading a review of the BBC's activities on the Web.
Prior to joining the BBC, Tom was Director of Internet Applications at UPC,
Europe's largest cable company. Previously, he has been web editor of
London's largest radio station, Capital Radio. He was responsible for
developing the multiple award-winning local information website
UpMyStreet.com.
From 1995 until 1997 he was a Section Editor on the UK edition of Wired
Magazine.
