Joining the Federation and Institutional Roll-Out
The Middleware Assisted Take-Up (MATU) service wishes to invite members of
the education community and partner organisations to a Joining the
Federation and Institutional Roll-Out seminar being held at the Diskus
Centre, London on the 5 December 2006.
This seminar aims to provide an introduction to the UK Access Management
Federation for Education and Research and guidance on how institutions can
join. It also offers practical steps on effectively implementing federated
access management systems within an institution by providing guidance on
training, development and support mechanisms. Exploring the implications of
the two-way 'Shibboleth-to-Athens' and
'Athens-to-Shibboleth' gateways as a transitional service will also
be addressed.
