Digitisation programme town meeting

JISC invites representatives of UK institutions and organisations to attend a Town Meeting on its forthcoming £3.8 million Digitisation Programme funded with the support of the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW).

The new Digitisation programme aims to support the development of UK learning, teaching and research through the provision of new and sustainable e-resources in response to user(s) need(s). It is envisaged that a small number of large scale projects with a minimum allocation of £500,000 plus will be funded under this programme. However, this guideline should not discourage proposals from highly significant educational and research collections that may require funding at a lower level. A  request for proposals for the new Digitisation programme is now available.

The town meeting will consist of presentations, parallel workshops on specific issues relating to digitisation, expert panel sessions and the opportunity to ask questions on the new call for proposals.

If you are unable to attend this event but would like to put some questions forward for consideration or to be raised at the event then please send an email to Dicky Maidment-Otlet, you will then be able to post to the Digitsation blog. The blog will be carrying information and reporting feedback as the event unfolds.
