Role
Sarah is JISC’s programme manager for e-learning covering the Institutional Approaches to Curriculum Design Programme in which twelve projects are investigating the role technology plays in the institutional processes involved in developing courses and curricula in order to facilitate widespread institutional change.
She has led the development of the JISC-wide programme on Developing Digital Literacies which evolved from the LLiDA and SLiDA studies the e-Learning programme in this area.
Her achievements include the production of a number of well received e-Learning Programme publications including ‘Effective Assessment in a Digital Age’, ‘Effective Practice in a Digital Age’ and ‘Responding to Learners’ publications together with ‘Innovative Practice with e-Learning’, ‘Designing Spaces for Effective Learning’ and ‘In Their Own Words’.
Sarah is also responsible for the organisation and running of the annual Innovating e-Learning online conference which has become a well recognised slot in the e-learning calendar.
She also established and runs the valued JISC Learning and Teaching Practice Experts Group which provides valuable consultation and dissemination opportunities for the e-Learning programme and now has over 200 members from across further and higher education.
Sarah regularly contributes to are e-Learning programme.
She is also on a number of working groups including - TLRP TEL programme advisory group and a number of project steering groups.
Member of ELESIG (Evaluation of Learners' Experiences of e-learning Special Interest Group).
