Lawrie is the programme manager for the JISC Transformations Programme. His previous programmes include the Users and Innovation and Institutional Innovation programmes. Lawrie has a background in Environmental Sciences and Learning Technology, working on various projects and programmes supporting and enhancing learning and teaching in higher education. He moved to JISC in 2001, setting up and running the JISC TechDis service, advising staff on supporting disabled students through the application of technology, moving to the JISC Executive in 2006 to look at issues around emerging technology and Web 2.0.
Lawrie is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an associate fellow of the Staff and Educational Development Association.
