If you are flying from London, Heathrow airport has a direct National Express Coach Service to Bristol. Alternatively you can take the Heathrow Airport Express train to London Paddington and change there for a train to Bristol.

Travel by car Travelling to Bristol by car is not recommended as parking is scarce. If you do have to travel by car please ask for a visitor's car parking space to be reserved for you, giving your car registration number, person you are visiting and dates and times of the visit. There are multi-story car parks about 5 minutes walk from Beacon House on Park Row and Jacobs Wells Road. Directions from the M32:

  • Carry straight on from the end of the M32 until you come to a T junction where you should turn right (following signs to Bus Station and Clifton)
  • You soon come to a roundabout where you should take the second exit (following signs to Bus Station, Royal Infirmary and Clifton)
  • Go straight on over several sets of traffic lights. Just after the entrance to the multi-story car park on your left, turn right into Woodland Road
  • At the top of the hill is a crossroads (Woodland Road with Elton Road and Tyndall Avenue) with the Hawthorns on the left hand side of the road. Visitor car parking spaces are available at the Hawthorns.  If  the visitor car parking spaces are full, please use one of the multi-story car parks on Park Row or Jabobs Wells Road
  • To get to Beacon House from the Hawthorns (by foot), walk down Elton Road and Queens Avenue
  • At the end of Queens Avenue turn right and you will find the entrance to Beacon House
