Our Bristol office is at One Castlepark opposite the Marriott Hotel Bristol City Centre, near Cabot Circus shopping centre.
Visitors will be greeted at reception where you will be required to sign in. The staff will then direct you to the 3rd floor which can be accessed via the stairwell or lifts. On arriving at the entrance to Jisc please ring the doorbell where a member of staff will greet you.

Directions to our Bristol Office
By trainTemple Meads is the nearest railway station. One Castlepark is around a 20 minute walk from the station. You may find it helpful to follow signs to Cabot Circus. Alternatively, take the 8/9 bus from outside the station and get off just before the main Old Market roundabout, opposite the Bristol Evening Post building. From here walk up towards the roundabout and bear left. One Castlepark is the red brick building on your left.
By coachThe coach station is on Marlborough Street in the City Centre. One Castlepark is around a 20 minute walk from the station. You may find it helpful to follow signs to Cabot Circus.
By airBristol International Airport is about 8 miles South of Bristol City Centre. A bus service runs from the airport to Temple Meads station on a fairly regular basis. Further information about the Bristol Flyer service can be found on the Bristol International Airport web pages under 'Find Us'. If you are flying into London, Heathrow airport has a direct National Express Coach Service to Bristol. Alternatively you can take the Heathrow Airport Express train to London Paddington and change there for a train to Bristol.
By carOne Castlepark is very near the M32 entrance to Bristol. Cabot Circus car park is easily accessible from the M32 and is around a 5 minute walk away, while the Marriott NCP is just opposite our office.
Directions to our Harwell Office
By trainJanet is 6 miles south-west of Didcot Parkway Station, providing connections with London (Paddington), Birmingham, West of England and South Wales. Taxis are readily available at Didcot Parkway station, and the transfer time to Janet is approximately 10 minutes.
By airJanet is 1 hour's car journey from London's Heathrow Airport. Follow the M4 motorway westwards to interchange 13 then head northwards on the A34
By carJanet lies on the A4185 mid-way between Oxford and Newbury. Approach from the north and south using the A34 If Southbound, leave the A34 at the A4130 (Didcot and Wantage) exit, take the fourth exit signed to Wantage (the A4185) If Northbound, leave the A34 at the A4185 (Harwell Oxford site and Wantage). On Arrival at Janet's Harwell Oxford Office limited visitor parking is available in front of the building. Alternatively, if there is no parking available at our office, please follow these directions to the additional parking available within the bus car park.
The building has two entrances - north and south. When approaching the building from the Strand the north entrance is reached first, the south entrance is 20 metres further on, towards the river.
General enquiries and operations are located on the ground floor of the south side.
Jisc meeting rooms are located on the ground floor of the north side (externally indicated by a Brettenham House sign).
Jisc Collections is located on the first floor of the south side.
Visitors should be informed prior to their visit, which reception is most suitable but can go to either of the building receptions (north or south) where you will be issued with a visitor's pass and directed to the appropriate Jisc office or meeting room.
Directions to our London Office
By trainThe nearest tube stations within walking distance are Temple (Circle and District - five minutes); Embankment (Bakerloo, Northern, Circle and District) - five minutes; Waterloo (Northern, Bakerloo, Jubilee, Waterloo and City - ten minutes); Covent Garden (Piccadilly line is exit only until November 2014). Mainline railway stations within walking distance are Charing Cross, Waterloo and Waterloo East. From Charing Cross, turn right outside the station and walk east along The Strand (five mins), turn right into Lancaster Place (at the Tesco Express on the corner) and walk towards Waterloo Bridge. Brettenham House is the building on your right. From either Waterloo stations, follow signs to Waterloo Bridge, cross the river, using Waterloo Bridge, walk on the left (west) side of the bridge, Brettenham House is the first building on your left when you have crossed the river.
By coachThe coach station is at London Victoria. Change onto the Circle and District line to Embankment. Follow signs to Charing Cross and The Strand. See by train directions above for details.
By airFrom Heathrow Airport take the Heathrow Airport Express train to London Paddington. Change onto the Bakerloo line to Charing Cross and walk from there. From Gatwick Airport take the Gatwick Express train to London Victoria. Change onto the Circle and District line to Embankment, and walk from there. By trainWe are located close to both Piccadilly main line station (about two and a half hours from London) and Oxford Road train station, with Victoria train station a little further away. We’re located in the Oxford Road area of The University of Manchester campus, at the southern end of the city centre. To get to the Oxford Road area of the campus, go down the station approach to Oxford Road and turn right. The campus is a 10 to 15 minute walk.
By coachNational Express coaches serve the Chorlton Street Coach Station, near Piccadilly railway station and a short walk from both university campuses. Turn right out of Chorlton Street Coach Station onto Chorlton Street and walk to the junction with Whitworth Street. Catch the 147 Oxford Road link bus to the Oxford Road area of the campus.
By airIf you plan to travel by air to The University of Manchester, our nearest airport is Manchester Airport. It is located about 10 miles (16km) south of the city centre, about 30 minutes from the University. The airport has a number of transport links to the city. By train – The airport's two terminals are linked directly to the city centre by a fast, frequent 24-hour train link to both Piccadilly and Oxford Road stations. By taxi – A taxi from the airport to the University will cost approximately £20. By bus – Local buses also run to the Oxford Road area of the campus.
By carAll approach routes for cars travelling here are clearly signposted 'The University of Manchester'. Directions from the M62 (eastbound), M602. Leave the M62 at J12 and join the M602. At the end of M602, join Regent Road (A57) and continue along and join the A57M (Mancunian Way). Leave at the second exit signposted A34 Congleton (hair-pin bend) and keep left, following signs for The University of Manchester. Turn left onto the A34 (dual carriageway) and get in the right-hand lane. Turn right at the first set of traffic lights into Grosvenor Street. Stay in the left-hand lane and turn left at the next set of traffic lights onto Oxford Road (B5117). Directions from the M62 (westbound), M60. Leave M62 at J18 and join M60 ring road. Leave M60 at J22 and turn right at traffic lights onto Oldham Road (A62). Continue along until the end and turn left to join Great Ancoats Street (A665). Follow signs for The University of Manchester and join the Mancunian Way (A57M). Take the exit from the Mancunian Way signposted A5103/Manchester Airport (M56)/Birmingham (M6). At the roundabout take the first exit onto Higher Cambridge Street. Turn left at the second set of traffic lights onto Booth Street West and then turn right onto Oxford Road (B5117). Directions from the M6/M56. Leave the M6 at Junction 19 and turn right onto the A556. Follow signs for Manchester Airport and join the M56. Stay on M56 until it joins Princess Park Way (A5103). Continue for a further four miles (6km) before turning right at Young's Royal Brewery into Moss Lane East (B5219). Continue to the T-junction and turn left onto Oxford Road (B5117). Proceed down Oxford Road and the University campus is straight ahead. Directions from the M67. At the end of the motorway join Hyde Road (A57). Continue along for approx three miles (4.5 km), following signs for the city centre. Upon reaching a major roundabout (the Apollo Theatre is on the left) take the second exit, Brunswick Street (signposted The University of Manchester). Continue along and go straight through the next set of traffic lights. Car parking is available near the University campus. Paid public parking option: Manchester Aquatics Centre multi-storey car park on Booth Street East (nearest parking to Roscoe Building).
