I am the programme manager for Digital Infrastructure: Research Information Management. The scope of this programme area is research information; that is, structured information about projects, researchers, research outputs and their value and impact, funding streams, organisations such as funders and universities, and so on. A strong case has been made for the adoption of CERIF as the technical standard for managing and sharing this information, and the projects in the Research Information Management strand are expanding our understanding of the challenges of managing research information with a particular focus on the use of CERIF to link up the diverse systems that can be used to store and share research information.
