This Working Group was set-up to consider JISC policy on mirror sites in the UK's HE network, JANET.

Terms of reference

• consideedr JISC policy on mirror sites in JANET, whether or not funded by JISC
• explored funding and charging issues related to mirror sites
• examined the possibility of concentrating JISC funding for mirror sites
• investigated the scope for formal arrangements/partnerships with international bodies for mirroring (e.g.for acting as the European mirror for US/Australian data)
• liaised as necessary with the Cache Management Group
• reported to CEI in May
