Terms of reference

• Gained an overview of current activity within the IE, including relevant services and on-going development programmes
• Identified the requirements for the IE across UK further and higher education, in terms of current priorities and visions for the future
• Articulated how the IE fits with the JISC e-Framework for Education and Research (including the relationships with e-Infrastructure and eLearning work)
• Oversaw studies and scoping work to help inform the IE work plan and recommendations
• Developed a work plan for JISC IE activity prioritising what should be transitioned to service and what activity should form part of new or on-going development programmes. This will involve implementing processes to assess moving IE developments to service
• Developed a communications plan for the IE tailored to a range of appropriate audiences
• Reported to JIIE, and where appropriate JCS
