Terms of reference

  • worked with the JISC and the NSF in overseeing the 4 Digital Libraries in the Classroom projects, with particular reference to the broad aims of the Programme, the JISC Information Environment and NSF DLI requirements
  • helped ensure that links between projects and themes emanating from them are identified and fed into the overall running of the programme
  • offered advice on the direction of individual projects via the JISC and NSF where necessary
  • helped identify synergies between projects
  • offered advice on developing practices and standards that projects, the JISC and NSF should be aware of to take the programme to successful completion
  • raised the profile of the programme within members’own sphere of influence. To identify opportunities for dissemination at international events within which projects might participate
  • advised on issues of embedding and take up of project and programme outputs within the wider educational community
  • took an active role in evaluation of the programme and projects by means of a 'buddying' approach
  • were aware of the progress of projects through the regular review of project reports and participated in project visits. Raised concerns and made suggestions as to how any challenges might be addressed
  • advised on additional areas of work that could enhance the objectives of the programme as well as recommendations for future work in the outgoing years. Offered advice on the scoping of this work
  • identified synergies with developments and organisations both outside and within the JISC and NSF communities
