The aim of the Development Strategy working group was to create a coherent approach across the range of JISC development activities and maximise the return on investment that the community receives from JISC development activities.

Terms of reference

  • created a coherent approach across the range of JISC development activities
  • maximised the return on investment that the community receives from JISC development activities and consider sustainable models for delivery
  • consideedr how to enable support services in institutions to better help staff to deliver learning, teaching and research through the provision of a robust national infrastructure
  • identified key community drivers and stakeholders
  • explored the transition of research and development to service
  • clarified the work of the all JISC services involved in supporting development activities
  • considered the organisational implications of the evolving strategy for JISC and its committee structure
  • fed into the JISC 5 year review
  • presented a draft Development Strategy to the JISC sub committees and chairs in May/June 2003
  • presented a final draft to JISC sub-committees and JISC itself in Autumn 2003
