In response to the feedback from institutions about current subscription methods for datasets, a Charging Working Group was formed to look at different models and produce some recommendations. The Group started work in February 1997 and produced its final report for submission to the November 1997 meeting of the CEI, after consultation with the community. The recommendations made in the report were approved by the JISC and are being implemented during 1998.
