Biography
David Baker became Principal of the College of St Mark and St John, Plymouth in July 2003 and has Chaired JCS since January 2006. He gained an open organ scholarship to SidneySussexCollege, Cambridge, graduating with First Class Honours in Music in 1973. He subsequently undertook postgraduate studies in both music and librarianship. In 1985 he became Chief Librarian of the University of East Anglia, becoming Pro-Vice Chancellor there in 1997 and moving to his present post six years later. He has published widely in his field of professional interest, in including 14 monographs and over 40 refereed articles. His hobbies include creative writing, history and archaeology and watching cricket.
