Remuneration committee

The Remuneration Committee determines and reviews the salaries and terms and conditions of employment of the JISC Executive Secretary and other senior staff. The Remuneration Committee meets at least once a year and at other times as necessary.

Terms of reference

  • in cooperation with employing institutions, to determine and keep under review the salaries and terms and conditions of employment of the JISC Executive Secretary and other senior staff
  • in cooperation with employing institutions, to undertake a formal review of all salaries within the JISC Executive at least once each academic year with a particular emphasis on seeking equality of employment across the different employers
  • to take account, when performing these functions, of the evaluations of the performance of these staff against pre-established goals and objectives
  • to be appraised of all JISC Executive severance payments once each academic year and approve payments in excess of £75,000.
