How JISC works
The JISC Board and Shadow Board are made up of senior managers working in UK further and higher education. These experts determine JISC’s strategic direction and priorities to reflect the present and future needs of the education and research communities. The Board is supported by committees.
A Steering committee (made up of officers from each funding body) provides advice to the JISC Chair and JISC Executive. Three advisory committees also support the JISC Board: Audit committee, Nominations committee and Remuneration committee.
The JISC Executive supports the Board and committees, assists with determining policy, and oversees the delivery of JISC’s programme of work, which include the funding of innovation Programmes and the delivery of Services to support UK further and higher education.
A number of Working Groups exist to investigate specific issues or manage programmes.
